Fulham appointed former Manchester United coach Rene Meulensteen as their new head coach yesterday, in hope that the Dutchman would take some of the pressure off of Martin Jol.
The west London side, who are currently languishing in 18th, have pulled off a major coup in landing a coach of Meulensteen's quality.
Manchester United striker Robin van Persie said that Meulensteen was 'one of the best coaches in the world' and former Red Devils boss Sir Alex Ferguson lauded the Dutchman in his autobiography.
Fulham have already been linked with making moves for two of Manchester United's current stars - due to Meulensteen's close affiliation with his former side.
