The NBA have confirmed that the Miami Heat will be playing in sleeves on Christmas Day, reports the Sun Sentinel.

Confirmation came when the NBA released a commercial, which you can see above, to advertise this year's Christmas Day fixtures.

LeBron James and co. will wear the untraditional sleeved top for their Christmas Day fixture against the Los Angeles Lakers at Staples Center.

Miami Heat forward LeBron appears at the end of the advert - which has been called Jingle Bells - to promote the new Christmas uniform.

Kevin Durant, Derrick Rose, James Harden, Steve Nash and Stephen Curry also appear in the commercial.

The aforementioned stars all dunk three-pointers before LeBron runs in to slam dunk the final shot.

He then says: "Please tell me the camera was on."

LeBron said on wearing sleeved tops for the first time in Miami Heat's history: "We all warm up in shooting shirts, so I don't think it's an issue. In practice, I wear a shirt."

The new jerseys, which are sure to raise much debate, go on sale on Thursday. They can be purchased for $110 at the or at individual team retailers.
