Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes is closing in on a move to Ligue 1 outfit Monaco, according to the Daily Mail

Valdes, who was linked with a move away from the Catalans this past summer, now looks set to leave the Spanish giants at the end of this season.

And despite a number of Premier League clubs interested in his services, it now looks likely he will join the Ligue 1 outfit as they prepare to offer him a mega wage.

This will come as a blow to Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea as they have all been tracking the Spanish goalkeeper.

The Citizens are currently considering replacing out of favour goalkeeper Joe Hart and they had hoped to bring the 31-year-old to the Etihad.

Meanwhile both Arsenal and Chelsea were also reportedly ready to bring the Barcelona keeper to England, however it now looks unlikely that he will end up at the Emirates or Stamford Bridge.
