Barcelona's in-form forward, Neymar, has expressed his country's desire to win next year's World Cup in Brazil. The former Santos man acknowledged the pressure he and his compatriots face, admitting that it's the thought of defeat which strives him onto success.

Meanwhile, Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard has confessed it will be hard for him to make Roy Hodgson's World Cup squad, despite having made over 100 appearances for the Three Lions. The former West Ham man continued to explain how he feels the next two friendlies could be the last chance to impress.

One player that has impressed Arsene Wenger is AC Milan full-back Ignazio Abate. The Italian has been a key figure for the Rossoneri in recent times, but with Wenger looking for a replacement for Bacary Sagna, the 30-year-old could soon be on his way to the Emirates.

From one player leaving to one who looks set to stay - Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has previously been linked with a move away from Old Trafford, however, the former Everton star looks set to put pen to paper on a four-year deal worth £52 million.

Someone who could be on their way out of Manchester is City striker Sergio Aguero. The Argentine has been in electric form this season, prompting compatriot Lionel Messi to request Barcelona sign him. Having already signed Neymar in the summer, Gerardo Martino may prefer to bolster his team's defence instead.

And finally, Tottenham Hotspur could face a tough task keeping Mousa Dembele this January. Recent reports are linking the Belgian with a move to Napoli as they search for reinforcements in midfield. A host of names are on the Italians shortlist - however with rumours Sandro could also be heading to Italy, the deal could prove difficult to finalise in January.
