Gareth Bale has hailed his Real Madrid team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo as the "best player in the world".
The Welshman surpassed Ronaldo as the most expensive player on the planet earlier this summer when he joined Los Blancos from Tottenham.
However he maintains he has someway to go before he can match the Portuguese superstar, who he rates as the best in the world.
The former Spurs man also revealed he is loving playing in Spain - something made easier by playing alongside Ronaldo.
“It’s great when you play with the best player in the world. It makes life easier," he told the Sun.
“To be playing with Ronaldo and the rest of the team makes life easier for me.
“I’m enjoying every minute of it.
“It’s everything and more. It’s just amazing to be there. The stadium and fans — it’s incredible.
“I want to keep playing and keep doing well and hopefully we’ll win trophies again this season.”
Bale has struggled with a series of injuries since his big money switch but is starting to come good so it seems.
The 24-year-old has four goals in 11 games so far, including three in his last four.
Both Ronaldo and Bale have been included on the shortlist for the Ballon d'or, with the Portuguese ace second favourite for the prize behind Franck Ribery.
