FC Barcelona midfielder Andres Iniesta is currently in talks with the Spanish champions over a new contract which will tie him down beyond his current deal which expires in the summer of 2015.

The midfielder, who is currently on the radar of both Manchester clubs from the Premier League, has made over 400 appearances and scored 30 goals for the club over twelve seasons, during an 11-year career since his debut in 2002 under Louis Van Gaal aged 18 against Brujas.

As a player for both FC Barcelona and the Spanish national team, Iniesta has won absolutely everything the game has to offer, including; for Spain - one World Cup and two European Championships, with his best moment coming in the 116th minute of the World Cup final when he scored the winning goal;

For Barcelona he's won six La Liga trophies, three UEFA Champions Leagues, two Copa Del Rey titles, two UEFA Super Cups, six Spanish Super Cups and two FIFA Club World Cups.

Named the second-best player in the world in 2010, and widely regarded in at least the top five ever since, all FC Barcelona fans will be hoping the negotiations can be wrapped up as quickly as possible.

It is widely understood that the player nor his agent are not using the English interest as a means to secure a better deal, with the club particularly hopeful that a deal can be agreed by December.
