Chelsea and Manchester City target Blaise Matuidi is yet to sign a new deal at Paris St Germain, reports Sky Sports.
The central midfielder has been locked in negotiations with the French club for some while now, as his current deal runs out at the end of the season.
Reports in France suggested that the 26-year-old was closing in on a new four-and-a-half year deal, however Matuidi has since refuted claims he has agreed a new contract.
PSG will be desperate to secure the France international down on a new long-term deal, as both Chelsea and Manchester City are said to be keeping a close eye on Matuidi’s contract situation.
Matuidi, who is a first-team regular at the Ligue 1 side, can speak to teams outside of France from the beginning of January.
"I am really at ease at PSG,” Matuidi told L'Equipe 21.
"My first wish would be to stay. But you can wish for something and sometimes it doesn't happen.
"The club has a special place in my heart, but anything can happen in a career."
Matuidi is likely to put contract negotiations to one side over course of the next week, as he is likely to start France’s crucial second leg World Cup qualifier against Ukraine on Tuesday.
