Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere took to Twitter to air his thoughts on whom the best goalkeeper in the Premier League is, and produced a rather controversial opinion is saying that his fellow Gunners Wojciech Szczesny was top of the pile.

Better than Petr Cech, Joe Hart and the rest. Wilshere said these things after the news about Szczesny signing a new 'long-term' deal at Arsenal.

Wilshere first tweeted "Buzzing Szczesny has signed a new deal!2, which also included '#BestInThePrem'. Eyebrows were raised by some of his followers and other tweeters, which led to Wilshere releasing another tweet telling his top three keepers in the league saying "1. Szczesny. 2. Hart. 3. De Gea."

This caused more controversy for the football fans on Twitter so Wilshere made one more tweet explaining 'tough one to be fair as the standard of Goalkeepers in the prem is very high! But for me Szczesny is number 1...'. To justify his opinion, Wilshere uploaded a clip showing the best of Szczesny making a double save against Liverpool

Wilshere and controversy are words that have been put together in the same sentence recently as the 21-year-old was pictured smoking a cigarette outside of a club. This story about Szczesny isn't really on the same level as the smoking incident but Wilshere does like to express what he believes and isn't afraid of the consequences.

Wilshere also went on another tweeting rampage about how only true English people should play for England in all sports which caused a minor online scuffle between him and cricketing superstar, Kevin Pietersen.

He spoke about the issue after rumours that 18-year-old Belgium-born Manchester United midfielder Adnan Januzaj was being lined up for an England call up when he turns 23.

Wilshere found this to be the wrong way to deal with the problem of England's current quality of footballers. He believes that only English people should play for England or people that have lived in England for the majority of their lives.

Anyway, Wilshere is now picking up the reputation for being the man who spurs on arguments about football on Twitter, a little like Piers Morgan! Hopefully, Jack will stick more to his football than taking to his Twitter account in the future.
