Barcelona open talks with Arsenal target
The Catalan's have apparently began negotiations with Napoli for Juan Camilo Zuniga
Barcelona have began negotiations with Rafael Benitez's Napoli over the transfer of Juan Camilo Zuniga, a player previously targeted by Arsene Wenger at Arsenal.
According to reports in Italy, the Catalans have began discussions to bring the Colombian international to the Nou Camp for £12.5million.
The Spanish giants have the edge over bitter rivals Real Madrid and Arsenal in the race for his signature, with a clause in the left-backs contract allowing him to join the La Liga champions for the aforementioned cut-price fee.
However, the Italian giants do not wish to sell their man this January and are only willing to consider a deal for Zuniga next summer.
Despite Madrid also holding talks with the defender, it's believed Barca are in pole position thanks to the clause in his current contract.
The 27-year-old is currently sidelined due to surgery on his knee but hopes to return to Napoli's starting XI when they face Arsenal at the Stadio San Paolo on December 11.
"I think I'll be ready within a month. The recovery process is going well and although I don't want to rush anything, I am in a hurry.
"In a month Arsenal come to the San Paolo, the last game in the Champions League group stage, and I want to be there.
"Hopefully we'll have already achieved qualification before then," he said.
