Tottenham midfielder Mousa Dembele is looking to leave the club in January to make sure of a World Cup place, with Newcastle United and Aston Villa ready to make an offer according to the Daily Express.
Belgium international Dembele signed for Spurs from city neighbours Fulham for £15 million last season but has found first team action harder to come by this term, only starting two of the last five games.
The 26-year-old has admitted his frustration at not featuring more regularly in a side that invested heavily over the summer, and believes he needs more game time if Marc Wilmots is to select him for a Belgium World Cup squad that are tipped by some as dark horses for the competition.
This news has alerted Tottenham's Premier League rivals Newcastle and Aston Villa, with Southampton, Cardiff, Swansea and Italian side Napoli also said to be interested.
With so many teams chasing Dembele Spurs are likely to command a large fee for the midfielder, who has scored two goals in 61 appearances for the club.
Dembele was a regular starter in the centre of midfield last season but the new signings of Paulinho, Christian Eriksen and Etienne Capoue have increased competition for places and the Belgian, who has 52 caps for his country, will be desperate to be on the plane to Brazil next summer.
Teammate Eriksen suffered an injury playing for Denmark on Friday ruling him out for up to six weeks which may increase Dembele's playing time at Spurs, but don't be surprised to see the midfielder on the move in January.
