Top 10: Premier League wingers (1)

The Premier League has been blessed with some terrific wingers over the years, ranging from the likes of David Beckham to Robert Pires to Ryan Giggs.

Wide men are particularly important in this day and age as many teams look to pack three in midfield, which means the central areas of a football pitch are often congested. That in turn means that wingers have more space to cause damage to the opposition's defence.

Most 'wingers' often like to cut inside rather than hug the touchline - like Giggs used to do when he was in his prime.

Here we list the 10 best wingers in the Premier League. Click through the following pages to see who we have included and feel free to post a comment in the box below if you do not agree with our selection.

Be warned: Some of the stars who make the list sometimes play just behind the striker but have been used out wide by their respective clubs.
