Barcelona boss Gerardo Martino has selected Chelsea and Manchester United targets amongst his preferred options for the January transfer window, according to French newspaper Le 10 Sport.
Blaise Matuidi, whose contract with PSG ends this coming June, and Marco Verratti, who has been heavily linked with David Moyes' United, are both on the Catalan boss' wish-list for the start of the New Year, and it could mean that the Premier League giants lose out.
Matuidi is a target for Chelsea, with Jose Mourinho looking to overhaul his squad at the first opportunity and give it more of an edge going forward.
Barca are said to have been keeping tabs on his situation for a while now, particularly as he will be available for a cut-price in January if PSG cannot negotiate a new contract.
And team-mate Verratti has now also been added to the shortlist by the Martino, prompting speculation that United could lose out.
The Italian did sign a new long-term, lucrative contract with the French champions in August, tying himself to the club until 2018.
That means it would take a considerable amount to even tempt PSG into a sale, and so Matuidi looks the more viable option of the two.
