Belgium international Axel Witsel has admitted he would like to play in the Premier League one day, although he is in no hurry as time is on his side.
The 24-year-old currently plays for Russian club Zenit St. Petersburg, who paid £32.5 million to sign him from Benfica last summer.
Witsel helped guide Zenit to a second place finish in his first season at the Petrovsky Stadium and he is not in a rush to leave but has admitted he has his mind set on a move to a 'big club'.
He told Het Laatste Nieuws: "I've an objective in my head and I want to join a big club, but I don't say it has to happen now, I don't even know when, but it has to be a top club.
"Then I think about the Premier League, the league everyone's looking at. You have eight top clubs there."
This news may alert some of England's top clubs after being linked to the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United, however Witsel, who has five goals in 44 appearances for Belgium, would surely command a large fee with Zenit paying so much for him only last year.
If Witsel was to move to the Premier League anytime soon he would join a host of fellow countrymen that are plying their trade in England, including Eden Hazard, Jan Vertonghen and Christian Benteke.
