Manchester City are lining up a move for Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes, reports talkSPORT.
City boss Manuel Pellegrini is now looking to tempt a new keeper to the Etihad, with Joe Hart having lost his place in the side.
And, it has now been reported that the Citizens boss has made the Catalans shot-stopper his No.1 target.
Valdes, who has also been linked to Premier League duo Chelsea and Arsenal, looks set to leave the Nou Camp at the end of the season.
It had previously been reported that the Spanish star had agreed a deal to join Ligue 1 outfit Monaco, however he now may be tempted to join Manchester City.
Pellegrini could make a move for QPR goalkeeper Julio Cesar, if a move for Valdes doesn't go through.
With City searching for a new keeper, the long term future of England No.1 Joe Hart remains uncertain.
