Manchester United star Phil Jones could be out for 10 days, reports the Daily Mail.
The England international was forced off against Chile last Friday, as the versatile defender picked up an adductor injury during the second half of the Three Lions friendly encounter at Wembley.
Jones, 21, was ruled out of England's clash against Germany on Saturday and was sent back to Manchester United, so he could be assessed by his club's medical team.
Manchester United fear the former Blackburn Rovers defender could be out of action for just over a week.
If their prognosis is correct, Jones will miss the Premier League champions' weekend clash against Cardiff and their Champions League clash against Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday.
However he could return for Manchester United's Premier League fixture against Tottenham Hotspur on December 1.
Jones, who has played in defence and central midfield this season, has played 14 games for Manchester United so far this season.
