Claudio Gabriel Nancufil, who plays for a junior club in Bariloche, Argentina, has become something of an internet sensation after videos of him showing off his skills emerged on video-sharing websites.
Now according the Mirror, both Chelsea and Manchester United want to snap him up before the rest of Europe wises up to his potential.
However the paper also claims that the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are also monitoring his development.
Nancufil, known as "Snow Messi" because of his club's proximity to the Andes, already has an agency, Sueno Comunicaciones, working on his behalf.
This isn't the first time that Manchester United and Chelsea have gone head to head over a young starlet.
Chelsea eventually won the race to sign Nigerian John Obi-Mikel ahead of the Red Devils in 2006, although not before the case went through the courts as he had already seemingly signed a contract with Manchester United.
According to the Mirror, the BBC are planning to do use him as part of a documentary about Messi and Diego Maradona.
