Emmanuel Frimpong has become somewhat renowned for his penchant of goading fans and players of opposing clubs, but he may resist the temptation to rub the noses of Liverpool fans in their recent defeat to Arsenal.
The Ghana international is more a professional wind-up merchant than a pro footballer these days given his lengthy spells on the treatment table, and few teams or players can count themselves exempt to his frequent barbs.
Liverpool, though, may be afforded a period immunity after Frimpong was the recipient of a present from Anfield superstar Steven Gerrard, who kindly sent the Gunners youngster a signed England shirt.
A nice gesture (or mind games, perhaps?) from the Liverpool captain, and one surely even Frimpong would not be foolish enough mar with a swipe at the Merseysiders, regardless of Arsenal's victory at the start of the month.
Liverpool may, however, be the side with the bragging rights come Saturday evening, should they beat Everton at Goodison Park and Arsenal fail to overcome high-flying Southampton.
