Manchester United are ready to sign Argentine playmaker Ever Banega for £20 million, according to the Daily Star.
The 25-year-old, who currently stars for La Liga outfit Valencia, has been monitored by the Red Devils in recent weeks, with Manchester United having scouted the star as many as three times.
And, with the playmaker wanting to leave the club, Valencia have now agreed that Banega can depart the Mestalla in the summer.
The Spanish outfit will keep the playmaker at the club in January, but are now prepared to sell him to Manchester United for £20m.
David Moyes is desperate for a major signing at the Red Devils and after the disappointment of last summer, the Manchester United boss will hope to make up for it over the next couple of windows.
With United in pole position to sign the star, the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham and Juventus will all be disappointed as they look set to miss out on the playmaker.
Premier League duo Arsenal and Tottenham had been keen on the Argentine, however it now looks likely he will be heading to Manchester and not north London.
