Manchester City ace Sergio Aguero has rejected talk linking him with a switch to La Liga giants Real Madrid, reports Sky Sports.
The Argentine striker, who once turned out for Atletico Madrid, is reportedly in line to become the next “Galactico” in yet another big-money move by Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti.
Aguero has however since moved to dismiss the rumours, instead insisting that he is happy with life at the Etihad Stadium and is enjoying playing for his current club Manchester City.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror, Aguero said: “The truth is that I’m happy. The club treats me very well. It’s very calm-it’s different to being in Spain or Argentina. The only thing I do is enjoy football, rest, be at home and go out to walk around or eat in peace.”
The striker, who has been in imperious form for club and country so far this season and was the league’s player of the month in October, has also attributed his development to the pace of the English game.
“You are always improving,” Aguero added. “English football, for example, being so fast, it allows you to develop your concentration and refine your technique. So every day you’re learning and I feel I still have plenty to learn.”
Aguero has already plundered 14 goals for the Citizens this season and has been on song for Manuel Pellegrini’s charges.
Will his strike partnership with Alvaro Negredo hit the right notes when they take on Tottenham on Sunday?
