Ex-Arsenal goalkeeper Jens Lehman believes Marc-Andre Ter Stegen should join Barcelona despite being linked to the Gunners, reports The Daily Star.
The Catalans have been heavily linked with a move for a new goalkeeper, as current No.1 Victor Valdes looks set to leave the Nou Camp at the end of the season and now Lehman has suggested that the current Borussia Monchengladbach shot-stopper would be perfect for the Spanish giants.
And, despite Ter Stegen having been linked with a potential move to Arsenal, Lehman believes his fellow countryman would be better suited to La Liga.
When discussing the future of the 'keeper, Lehman told reporters: "Ter Stegen would be a great goalie for Barca.
"He'd adapt well to the Spanish league, he plays well with both feet and Barca's style of play would suit him down to the ground.
"I see him better off there than in the Premier League."
The Gunners had been tracking the goalkeeper as they look to give added competition to Wojciech Szczesny at the Emirates.
However, if the star listens to Lehman, he may now head to the Nou Camp over a move to Arsenal. Both Barcelona and Arsenal may continue to track the goalkeeper over the coming period.
