Jesus Navas took just 13 seconds to open the scoring for Manchester City in their 6-0 thrashing of Tottenham Hotspur at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
The Spain international capitalised on an uncharacteristic mistake from Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, who could only parry Sergio Aguero's stinging short, to set Manuel Pellegrini's side on their way to an emphatic Premier League victory that left opposite number Andre Villas-Boas feeling 'ashamed' of the result.
Despite the former Sevilla star's swift strike, it remains a long way down the list of fastest Premier League goals of all-time, and even faces competition from a freak, wind-assisted effort, earlier this season.
Incidentally, the quickest goal ever scored in England's top-flight was converted by a Tottenham player, after former captain Ledley King netted after just 9.9 seconds in a game against Bradford City in December 2000.
Following on from Navas's efficient effort this weekend, GiveMeSport re-lives the 10 fastest Premier League goals in the 2013/14 campaign.
