Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey says he is 'delighted' to be able to count Mesut Özil among his teammates, and feels the way the Germany international has settled into the team has been 'remarkable'.
Özil was a club record acquisition in the summer transfer window, arriving in north London from Real Madrid for €50 million, and has played a prominent role in moving the Gunners to the summit of the Premier League table.
Arsenal are four points clear of nearest challengers Liverpool with 12 matches of the season played, and Ramsey has hailed Özil for his part in the club's impressive start to the campaign thus far.
"He has been great obviously having a player of his calibre come into the team and the way he has settled in is quite remarkable really," Ramsey said in a press conference ahead of the meeting with Marseille.
"He has chipped in with a few assists and goals and settled into the team really well.
"We are delighted to have him here and I think you can see that by the way we are playing on the pitch."
Arsenal, meanwhile, can secure their passage into the knockout stages of this season's Champions League this week if they are able to better the result of Borrussia Dortmund.
The Gunners' victory in Dortmund last time out placed them in a position of strength in group, and they can reach the last 16 if they are able to beat Marseille and the Germans fail to win against Napoli.
