Fulham midfielder Scott Parker is hopeful that Rene Meulensteen can help turn The Whites’ fortunes around after their disastrous start to the season.
Marin Jol’s side suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Swansea at the weekend in what was their fourth straight league loss in a row and meaning they remain in the bottom three of the Premier League.
The defeat on Saturday led to more calls from Fulham fans for Jol to be relinquished of his duties but Parker is confident Meulensteen can aid the under-fire boss.
And Parker - who was a summer signing from Spurs – admits the addition of former Manchester United assistant Rene Meulensteen has been welcome during the difficult period at the club.
"Rene’s come in and we’ve only been working with him for three or four days,” the 33-year-old told West London Sport. “It’s a new person in the building and along with the lads we’ve got before and the rest of the squad, we’ve got to stick together.
“Hopefully Rene can bring a bit of experience and guidance and we can get some points.”
Parker returns to old territory next with the west London side as they take on West Ham at Upton Park.
