Of all the things LeBron James is known for, his trademark celebrations is perhaps the most frequently showcased.
However this weekend there was quite a stir made when James wasn't the only athlete using the famous hands-down, knees up celebration.
It appears that for one game only the Miami Heat stars' move was replicated by none other than Cam Newton of the NFL's Carolina Panthers. The Panthers' quarter-back executed the celebration after scoring away from home against the Miami Dolphins, in a match the visitors eventually won 20-16.
When asked whether or not it was done in tribute to King James, Newton kept no secrets.
The 24-year-old said: "Absolutely. Absolutely.
“I’m in the 305 [Miami's area code] where he has reigned supreme with him, D Wade, Chris Bosh. I’m big fans of those guys.
"I know LeBron and I kind of owed him for doing my celebration when they came to Charlotte, so any time I have an opportunity to come back, I was going to bring a shout out back to him.”
