Bayern Munich have reportedly discovered the existence of a mole who has been leaking the team’s tactics to the media.
Speaking to his players shortly after their 3-0 win over rivals Borussia Dortmund, the former Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola has threatened to axe the mole from his first-team plans.
“It does not matter who it is, heads will roll. I will throw him out. He will not play under me again,” the Spanish coach is quoted by The Independent.
The Bavarians’ C.E.O Karl-Heinz Rummenigge also confirmed that the club had discovered the existence of the said mole and said the player when discovered will face retrospective action, not just from Guardiola but from the club as well.
“We will obviously not bring in the N.S.A (National Security Agency) to find out who it is,” said the C.E.O to Sky television.
“But I advice him to stop doing it or he will have a serious problem not only with Pep Guardiola but also the entire club.”
Bayern are otherwise enjoying a stellar campaign as they are yet to be beaten on all fronts this season.
The Bavarians are currently four points clear at the summit of the Bundesliga, and a massive seven points ahead of rivals Borussia Dortmund after just 13 games, and will be looking to extend their 100 per cent record in Europe when they take on CSKA Moscow on Wednesday.
Bayern have won all four of their group games and have already qualified for the knockout phase of the UEFA Champions League with two games to go, scoring 12 goals and conceding just one.
