Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has ruled out letting Joe Hart leave the club in January.
The England goalkeeper has lost his place in the Manchester City team to Costel Pantilimon in recent weeks after a series of high-profile gaffes.
That has prompted speculation that Hart could be sent out on loan in the winter window, with Stoke said to be his destination along with £15 million, and Potters' ace Asmir Begovic heading in the opposite direction. Pellegrini has also been linked with a move for Malaga shotstopper Willy Caballero .
However the Chilean has dismissed the speculation over Hart, who will earn a recall for Manchester City's Champions League tie against Viktoria Plzen this week.
"There is a lot of news about six or seven goalkeepers that we want to buy, but it is not true," he told reporters.
"There is no chance that Joe Hart could go out of this squad in January."
The Citizens will be without captain Vincent Kompany and David Silva for the game at the Etihad Stadium tomorrow, although the former is back in training.
Manchester City have already secured their place in the next round of the Champions League.
