Arsenal are leading the chase to sign Barcelona starlet Antonio Sanabria after the Catalan club were unable to convince him to stay.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the Gunners have been trailing him for some time and, along with AS Roma, have made a proposal to his representatives in a bid to lure him to Emirates Stadium.
The report goes on to say that Sanabria is tempted by the prospect of joining up with Arsenal, as he has been given greater assurances over the amount of first team opportunities he will be given, not to mention the greater salary he would receive in north London.
Arsene Wenger has a good record of bringing through young talent and giving them first team opportunities, which is also likely to be a factor in any decision to move to Arsenal.
Barcelona will not be happy to lose another of their stars from the famed La Masia youth academy Arsenal: Cesc Fabregas, Hector Bellerin and Jon Toral all made the decision to swap Catalunya for London Colney.
Sanabria is yet to make an appearance for the senior side but has been making a name for himself for Barcelona B.
