Dereck Chisora has backed David Haye not to retire, but to go back into boxing as he believes it is his 'passion', according to the Daily Mail.
Haye had to pull out of his fight with Tyson Fury earlier this month due to surgery on his shoulder, and has been recommended by doctors that he should retire from the sport, unless he wants to cause more damage.
This caused an outrage by fans along with Fury, as the boxer had a controversial outburst about the former I'm a Celebrity contestant, causing more tension between the fighters.
But Haye's former opponent Chisora believes the former heavyweight champion will be back in the near future.
"David will be back because he enjoys boxing," he commented. "If you have the passion for it it, it is difficult to get away from."
Chisora faced the full force of Haye in their fight back in July of 2012, as the fight lasted five rounds with the Haymaker knocking out the 29-year-old with a number of consecutive hits to the jaw of his opponent.
Haye has had a great career winning a number of titles from Cruiserwieght to Heavyweight, along with defeating the powerful Nikolay Valuev, before going toe-to-toe with the great Wladimir Klitschko and facing defeat.
The 33-year-old has a record of winning 26 of his 28 fights, with 24 won by knock outs.
However, Haye isn't putting any hope on himself returning to his profession.
"I got to accept my fighting days might be over," he told the Mirror. "I'd like to be optimistic, but it is difficult to see how I can be."
