Kyle Korver is the most consistent three-point player in the NBA, and when he takes on the Rockets in a couple of days he will set out to make history.

The last 88 games Kyle Korver has competed in, he made at least one three-pointer. He will go out against Houston looking for his 89th consecutive game with at least a three-pointer which will tie him up with Dana Barros.

If Korver is able to hit a three against Houston, which is highly likely, he will have to make one three against Dallas this Friday to be the lone record breaker.

It seems as though Korver is aiming to break the streak shooting 1-6 threes on the night against the Orlando Magic. The game before the streak began, Korver was set to take on the Rockets. The last team Korver played and didn't make a three were the Rockets on November 2 2012.

Korver started his streak against the Oklahoma City Thunder on November 4. It has been over a year since Korver played a game without a three-pointer. That is an incredible achievement. The streak doesn't get paid much mind because the holder of the record is Dana Barros. No one really knows the Celtic legend. If the record was held by Larry Bird or Reggie Miller, it would be much more prestigious.

If Korver is able to hit 90 consecutive games with a three-pointer he would be the only player ever to do so. Over greats like Ray Allen and Reggie Miller and current stars such as Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant.

The streak may not be as popular as Lebron's seven games straight with 30 or more points and over 60% from the field, but it is in fact a very difficult streak to maintain and Korver should go down in the history books as one of the greatest sharp-shooters the game has ever seen after such a great streak
