Former Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic has revealed he is happy at Benfica - despite recent speculation linking him with a move to Manchester United, reports Sport Witness.
Matic, 25, has been in outstanding form for the Portuguese outfit since resurrecting his career after being binned by Chelsea in 2011.
The Serbian international moved to Lisbon as part of the deal that saw former Benfica defender David Luiz move to Chelsea.
Reports in the summer suggested the Blues were lining up a move to re-sign Matic, however the defensive midfielder insisted he wanted to stay in Lisbon for another year.
And Matic has again revealed his desire to stay in Portugal: "I just think about my club and I'm very happy here."
Chelsea's Premier League rivals Manchester United are said to be keen on bringing Matic to Old Trafford.
Matic, who has a €50m release clause, is said to be available for £20m.
Manchester United boss David Moyes will be disappointed at his latest transfer setback, as he is desperate to strengthen his midfield options during the next two transfer windows.
