Four points clear at the top in the league, and top of their Champions League group.

Arsenal are having a great start to this season, and it's time that the Premier League starts to acknowledge the fact that they are a title contending team.

The performance against Marseille was effortless, although it was not a their greatest, yet they won extremely comfortably.

I'm sure a lot of football fans were waiting for the moment in the league where Arsenal would lose a match and then find it a struggle to start winning again.

It seems like the defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford, a match where they deserved to lose, has only made them stronger.

On the weekend against an in form Southampton side, Arsenal glided past them with ease.

Sure Southampton made it a lot easier for Arsenal with individual mistakes, but Southampton never looked like scoring anyway, and that performance showed the world why they deserve to be so far ahead of the other big teams challenging for the title.

On Friday August 9th most people, including some Arsenal fans thought their Champions League campaign would be finished before it even started.

It was a horror draw: Marseille, Napoli, and last year's runner-up Borussia Dortmund.

No one would've now imagined Arsenal to be on top of the 'group of death' with 12 points from five games.

Every week opinions are changing in favour of the Gunners, and I feel it's about time we gave them the credit for the fantastic football that they're playing.

Arsenal have proved this season that they need to be taken seriously with brilliant performances, and it is about time that we took them seriously.
