Big things were expected of Spain international Roberto Soldado when Tottenham signed him from Valencia for £26m in the summer transfer window.

However, the 28-year-old has only scored one Premier League goal from open play in his first 12 matches for the north London outfit. His other three all came from the penalty spot.

It's fair to say that Soldado has not received the service he would have expected, but it's up to him to make the most of the situation he finds himself in.
