Jack Wilshere expecting more from Mesut Ozil

Jack Wilshere says the player he is most excited to play with is Mesut Ozil but admits there is still a lot to come from him.

The German international moved to Arsenal in a club record £42.5m deal in the summer from Real Madrid on transfer deadline day and has scored three as well as providing six assists in 14 appearances.

Despite his sterling reputation, the 25-year-old has started to come in for a touch of criticism at the Emirates after struggling to have an impact on Arsenal's latest games against Manchester United, Southampton and Marseille.

But Wilshere has reserved special praise for Arsenal's record signing.

The 21-year-old says that he has already seen evidence that Ozil is a born and bred Arsenal player and expects him to improve in the near future.

“Obviously the player I’m most excited playing with is Ozil. He’s so comfortable on the ball, you can give the ball to him and you know you’ll get it back." Wilshere said in Arsenal’s Google+ hangout session.

“I remember the game away to Sunderland where he got an assist and man of the match, and you could see he plays the ‘Arsenal way’. I still think there’s still a lot more to come from him.”

Wilshere was also asked the interesting question of who would play him in a film.

He replied: “I think Tom Cruise maybe. I watched one of his films and it was all action.”

When asked who would star alongside the Mission Impossible star, Wilshere replied without hesitation: “Eva Mendes.”
