Football's Hollywood film stars (1)

Jack Wilshere thinks Hollywood actor Tom Cruise is the ideal man to play him in a movie about his life at Arsenal.

The 21-year-old midfielder was posed the question by a Gunners fan during a live Google Hangout, where he declared his love for action films, and picked Eva Mendes as the perfect leading lady to star alongside Cruise in the movie.

Despite his age, Wilshere has enjoyed an action-packed start to life as a professional footballer, having been thrust into the Emirates Stadium limelight by Arsene Wenger at the tender age of 16.

Long-standing injury problems hampered his progression, but having made a full return to fitness, Wilshere is now back firing on all cylinders, and has played an instrumental role in Arsenal's ascent to the top of the Premier League table this season.

Whilst it's questionable how much material the midfielder would provide, in order to create a blockbuster hit, the Cruise revelation still provides GiveMeSport with an excuse to consider which other Hollywood A-listers would be fit for roles based around a number of football's other biggest stars.
