Tottenham Hotspur host Manchester United in a pivotal Premier League clash this weekend, with both clubs chasing victory for different reasons.
Andre Villas-Boas is feeling the pressure after a 6-0 drubbing last weekend, although a Europa League win last night (Thursday) relieved some of the pressure.
David Moyes, meanwhile, appears to be turning things round at Old Trafford, and victory here would put the Red Devils right back in the title frame.
Both managers have an easy decision between the sticks, with Hugo Lloris and David de Gea two of the best keepers in the Premier League.
At the back, Spurs no longer look assured, and AVB might consider making a few changes. Kyle Walker and Jan Vertonghen are likely to get the nod at full-back, whilst Michael Dawson could be dropped in favour of Vlad Chirches and Younes Kaboul.
For Manchester United, it’s Rafael at right-back and Patrice Evra at left back, with a few options available in the centre. Jonny Evans and Nemanja Vidic is the likely partnership – if the Serb is passed fit.
Both teams operate a 4-2-3-1 formation, and it’s Phil Jones and Marouane Fellaini who are likely to play in the defensive positions for the visitors. Sandro and Moussa Dembele could be the best choice for Tottenham Hotspur, with Paulinho dropping to the bench.
In the more advanced midfield roles, Andros Townsend and Gylfi Sigurdsson are likely to play out wide, with Lewis Holtby through the middle.
Moyes has much more depth to choose from, and Shinji Kagawa has probably earned himself a start following a fine Champions League performance in midweek. Antonio Valencia will play on the opposite flank, with Wayne Rooney in behind the striker.
Robin van Persie is set to return for Manchester United, and he will lead the line if fit.
For Spurs, Roberto Soldado remains the main man at White Hart Lane, despite his recent lack of form in-front of goal.
Tottenham Hotspur predicted line-up v Manchester United:
Lloris; Walker, Chirches, Kaboul, Vertonghen; Sandro, Dembele; Townsend, Holtby, Sigurdsson; Soldado.
Manchester United predicted line-up v Tottenham Hotspur:
De Gea; Rafael, Evans, Vidic, Evra; Jones, Fellaini; Valencia, Rooney, Kagawa; Van Persie.
The Verdict: For all their spending in the summer, Spurs are starting to look a little weak in a number of positions, and are facing a United side who have suddenly found some form. Away victory.
Prediction: Tottenham Hotspur 1-3 Manchester United
