3. Australia v England
Although the age-old rivalry between England and Australia manifests itself whenever the two countries come up against one another in any sport, it appears to carry the most significance in cricket and rugby union.
This rivalry is perhaps most famously played out during The Ashes - a tournament in which the two countries go toe-to-toe for the famous urn in a five-match test series that often spills over into heated incidents.
The second Ashes series of 2013 is currently being played out in Australia, with the hosts leading 1-0 after a comprehensive thrashing in Brisbane.
