For some football fans, the summer transfer window is not keenly-anticipated as their best players may be sold and their team could end up worse than before the summer.

However, with the marked increase in television revenue, there is now more money to spend on buying or loaning players and improving teams. This list is just a few of the best summer buys or loans to Premier League teams from the summer of 2013...

10. Victor Wanyama - Southampton

The Kenyan midfielder arrived at Southampton with a reputation for strong tackling and he has certainly lived up to that expectation. His arrival has provided the Saints with more strength in midfield that has allowed players like Adam Lallana to push forward more often.

9.  Dejan Lovren - Southampton

Like Wanyama, the Croatian centre-back has not only improved the Southampton back line, he has also popped up with a goal in an important game against Liverpool.

8. Wilfried Bony - Swansea

Despite not being able to set the Premier League on fire so far, Bony has shown glimpses of his ability that  saw him score so many goals in Holland last year.

7. Simon Mignolet - Liverpool

Mignolet was Liverpool's best signing of the summer because of the stability he has brought to the Liverpool defence. Unlike his predecessor Pepe Reina, he has been rather consistent and has made no glaring errors.

6. Jesus Navas - Manchester City

Navas brings pace and a more direct option than the likes of James Milner. He was very impressive against Tottenham on Sunday, where he scored twice in a 6-0 rout of Tottenham.

5. Mesut Ozil - Arsenal

Ozil has given Arsenal fans the chance to believe again. Although his form has dipped recently, Arsenal will be happy that they are signing and not selling top players.

4. Mathieu Flamini - Arsenal

Ozil may have provided the spark, but Flamini has provided the engine. This may be a debatable decision but I believe that the (free!) signing of Flamini has allowed Ramsey and Ozil to attack which is why he is so high in this list.

3. Loic Remy - Newcastle

A loan signing from Queens Park Rangers, without Remy's goals Newcastle would be looking down in 15th rather than looking up at the moment in 8th. His impact is has been outstanding and he has lead the line well.

2. Alvaro Negredo - Manchester City

Negredo has slotted in to the Manchester City side whilst scoring goals at will. He looks like he has been at City for years.

1. Romelu Lukaku

Another loan signing, Lukaku is a proven goalscorer in the Premier League so it was a surprise to see him sent to Everton from Chelsea. Lukaku has scored seven goals this season and with the form he is in at the moment, you wouldn't bet against him continuing that run.
