It's Ryan Giggs' 40th birthday today, so it felt like the perfect time to look back at some of the best goal celebrations.

After all, the Manchester United legend produced a classic of his own in 1999, when he celebrated scoring the most iconic goal of his career - against Arsenal in the FA Cup semi-finals - by whipping off his shirt to reveal a magnificent bed of chest hair.

Here are five other classics:

5. Matthew Russell | Claps himself from the stands

Castelton Gabriels' Matthew Russell celebrated his goal against FC United by, erm, clapping himself from the stands.

It didn't look like many Gabriels' supporters had made the trip - so Russell was forced to take matters into his own hands.

4. Santos | Rapping

Before moving to Barcelona in the summer, Neymar appeared to spend most of his time perfecting goal celebrations with his Santos teammates.

The hard work clearly paid off, judging by celebrations like this one.

3. Drogba & Malouda | Band

Let's face it: who wouldn't want to be in a band with Didier Drogba and Florent Malouda?

Drogba, though, is a tad more passionate with his air guitar (corner flag) than Malouda is with his air drumming.

2. Stjarnan FC | Bicycle

Stjarnan FC could have taken up all five spots in this list. When it comes to goal celebrations, this team from Iceland are the absolute masters.

Their inspired bicycle celebration, which involves five team members, narrowly misses out on top spot.

1. Stjarnan FC | Fishing

Stjarnan FC deservedly take pole position with this quite magnificent goal celebration.

Everything about this human fishing goal celebration is spot on. You can tell they worked tirelessly on the training ground to perfect it.
