Ryan Giggs: Statistical tribute

Ryan Giggs was destined for greatness from the moment he made his Manchester United debut in 1990.

He signed his first contract 23 years ago, aged 17. He made his league debut against Everton in March 1991, and since then has gone on to make 666 league appearances for the club, with 952 in total - a staggering statistic.

Over his career the 40-year-old has scored 114 league goals, and 168 in all competitions. He is the only player to have played and scored in 21 successive Premier League seasons, a feat that will surely never be matched.

Out of the 952 matches he's played, 581 of them have been wins - a win percentage of 61%. He's drawn 219, and lost 151.

For International level with Wales, Giggs has made 64 appearances, scoring 12 goals. He also has 4 appearances for Team GB, and scored once in the 2012 London Olympics.

Giggs' trophy cabinet is fit to burst; he was won: 13 Premier League titles, 4 FA Cups, 4 League Cups, 9 Community Shields, 2 Champions Leagues, 1 UEFA Supercup, 1 Intercontinental Cup, and 1 FIFA World Club Cup.

His individual honours list goes on and on too. He was 2 PFA Young Player of Year awards, 6 PFA Team of the Year, 1 PFA Team of the Century, 1 PFA Player's Player of the Year, an FWA Tribute Award, a Bravo Award, a BBC Sports Personality of the Year, a BBC Wales Sports Personality of the Year, a GQ Sportsman of the Year, Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year, 2 Jimmy Murphy Young Player of the Year, Premier League 10 Seasons Awards, Premier League 20 Seasons Awards, UEFA Champions League 10 Seasons Dream Team, 2 Wales Player of the Year Award, 3 Premier League Player of the Month, 1 Goal of the Season, English Football Hall of Fame Inductee, and a Golden Foot, as well as an OBE for his services to football. 

There's simply no question about it when it comes to Ryan Giggs. He is, and always will be, a footballing legend.
