Arsenal target Luiz Gustavo has welcomed speculation linking him with a move to Barcelona, but insisted that he remains happy at current club Wolfsburg, reports Sky Sports.
The 26-year-old Brazil international has been the subject of intense transfer speculation after it was recently emerged by German newspaper Bild that he has a €25million release clause written into his current contract at the Volkswagen Arena.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has been credited with an interest in bringing the South American schemer to the Emirates Stadium at the end of the season, while Barcelona are also mooted as admirers of the former Bayern Munich star.
Gerardo Martino currently has a plethora of midfield options at Camp Nou, but is still believed to be monitoring Gustavo's situation in the Bundesliga closely.
Arsenal will face a serious fight to secure the player's signature, after Gustavo intimated that he was flattered by Barcelona's reported interest, before reiterating his commitment to Wolfsburg, whom he is contracted to until 2018.
"You are happy to know about things like that, still it's an old story," he told Kicker-Sportmagazin. "I am with Wolfsburg and I have a long-term deal at this club."
