Top 5: Shock signings that should happen...but won't (2)

Chelsea | Radamel Falcao

Football News
24/7

At Atletico Madrid, Radamel Falcao seemed to be linked with Chelsea every week.

After signing for Monaco in the summer it was assumed that his chances of playing for Chelsea were over, but apparently not.

Reports are surfacing that Falcao is set for a quick exit from the south of France and Chelsea are ready to bid €80m plus Fernando Torres for the striker.

On paper it looks like a dream deal for Chelsea fans. They get rid of one faltering and replace him with one of Europe's deadliest hit men.

It's almost too good to be true. And it is.

There is no way that Falcao is leaving for Chelsea in the near future for a bigger fee than he joined Monaco for.

Why would Chelsea reject the chance to sign him for £50m in the summer only to buy him for £20m more the next year?

Falcao is playing a lower level of football in France and, therefore, his value should go down.

Unless Monaco agree to sell him for- at most - the same price they bought him for, the Colombian will be going nowhere.
