If Emmanuel Adebayor isn't wanted at Tottenham Hotspur, it's their loss as far as we're concerned.
Despite some obvious attitude problems, Adebayor has proved time and again that he can deliver on the pitch if the manager gives him the faith and confidence he needs to thrive.
Arsenal are in desperate need for a striker but signing a top class striker in January is unlikely. Again, very few clubs will be willing to part with star players mid-way through a season.
So a loan deal for Adebayor may be best for all parties. Adebayor wouldn't be ahead of Olivier Giroud but he would provide better back-up than Nicklas Bendtner.
The problem is the history Adebayor has with Arsenal.
Demanding to leave, celebrating in front of them, joining local rivals Tottenham; there are so many reasons why this transfer simply won't happen.
But if Arsenal can't find a quality short-term option in January and Giroud succumbs to injury, they may miss out on their best chance to win the Premier League title.
Swallow your pride Gunners and accept the help from a friend who seeks forgiveness.
