Tom Daley has established himself as one of the country's most popular athletes since his emergence five years ago, when he became the youngest diver to win a senior British title at the age of only 13.

Later that same year and Daley had clinched his first success at international level as he claimed gold in the 10 metre platform at the European Championships in Eindhoven, before a world title followed 12 months later in Rome.

Daley won two gold medals at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi before another European gong leading up to the home Olympics in London.

The teenager was able to defy expectations in a strong individual field at the Olympic games, claiming a bronze medal and arguably his greatest achievement, given the pressure coming performing in front of a partisan crowd.

Daley has since embarked on a career in TV, first with ITV show Splash! and now with a new travel show. On December 2, 2013 Daley revealed he was in a relationship with a man, becoming one of the first high-profile athletes to come out during his career.
