New Orleans Pelicans have revealed that their star forward Anthony Davis has suffered a fractured left hand, reports ESPN

The standout forward-center had to depart the court with just 1:32 remaining as his side beat the New York Knicks 103-99 on Sunday evening.

And now the 20-year-old could be set for an extended period on the sidelines which will come as a major blow for the Pelicans.

David had been in sensational form for the Pelicans of late and this injury blow will come as a setback for the team.

However they may now turn to Ryan Anderson as they take on the Chicago Bulls tomorrow. The Pelicans will be hoping to make it three straight wins in the Southwest Division as they take on a Bulls side who were beaten by the Cleveland Cavaliers in their last outing.

The Pelicans will have to do without Davis for the foreseeable future, but will hope he returns back fully refreshed.
