On Saturday night Dereck Chisora defended his WBO title belt, along with securing the WBA belt in London, beating Ondrej Pala in the third round.

The fight started slow as both fighters were trying to suss each other out, as a lot of holding was taking place with not much boxing.

It was a frustrating time for the fans and not really a great round of boxing. There was a lot on the line for these boxers but it was a poor first round.

As the second round got started it was up to the boxers to put in a better display, as Pala responded, with a few hits at the start of the round, a few hooks to the side of Chisora, but that was all, as both fighters went into the same routine of holding most of the round.

But as the second round was coming to an end both boxers started to connect with a few hits, but it was rusty, not really giving the audience much to cheer about, leading to the bell ringing to another disappointing round.

The Brit came into his rhythm by the third round; the Czech started the round with a one, two combo but again slipped into the routine of holding.

But after a few more jabs and hooks from Pala, Chisora responded with a hook to the jaw of the 29-year-old before the Czech fell into the turnbuckle, exposing his back to Chisora, leading to the ref to call an end to the title fight.

After the fight, the nicknamed 'Del Boy' stated to The Guardian that he has to give credit to his opponent.

"Fair play to the guy - he hit me with some good shots, but it didn't hurt me."

Now the Zimbabwean born boxer is the title holder he has ambition to have a bigger fight in the later year, a real test.

"I want someone who can test me, a big opponent, and that's what we're pushing for. It's just about getting to fight for those titles. I'll just have to keep fighting and to keep winning."
