Vernon Davis scores sensational hurdle touchdown v Rams

Published Add your comment

Vernon Davis once again showed off his insane capabilities as an athlete, by performing two hurdles during the San Francisco 49ers' 23-13 victory over the St. Louis Rams at Candlestick Park.

The result, which gives the 49ers a substantial boost in their bid to reach the playoffs, will have been welcomed by fans- but it was the slick moves of Davis that has captured the headlines today.

The 29-year-old tight end is known for all round athleticism on the football field, and it was on full display on Sunday.

In the first quarter David pulled off an impressive hurdle to get past his man, and was only brought down when tackled by two other players.

However, it was his second hurdle of the game that really sent the 49ers fans into raptures. Once again David hurdled his would-be tackler- Rams corner Janoris Jenkins- this time jumping over the top of Jenkins, who was standing on his feet himself.

The 49ers star then scored a touchdown to complete his flashy 17-yard move.

What the insane hurdle in the video above!
