Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is confident that the club can add to their squad, should the right player become available, reports Sky Sports

The Reds were beaten for the third time in this Premier League campaign yesterday as they lost 3-1 to Hull City and now Rodgers has hinted that the club could bring in new players in January.

With the January transfer window now under a month away and the Reds struggling with a number of injury problems, the Liverpool boss could now move for new recruits.

Speaking to reporters, Rodgers said: "I think every window for us will be exactly the same. If there is a player that we think can improve our squad, I am sure we will be able to go out and get that player."

However, Rodgers has insisted that a number of players will now be given the opportunity to star for the Merseyside club as they look to challenge for Champions League places this season.

He continued by saying: "We have a few injuries to key players that leaves us light but it's probably no different to a lot of squads.

"But we have other players that are working very hard and they will get an opportunity now.

"The responsibility now falls on everyone to keep up the performance level."

Liverpool will have the perfect opportunity to bounce back from their latest setback as they play host to Norwich City at Anfield on Wednesday night.

Rodgers' side currently sit in fourth place in the Premier League table and will be desperate to return to winning ways against the Canaries.
