Landon Donovan and Robbie Keane will not be making a return to the Premier League any time soon.

LA Galaxy coach Bruce Arena says he has no intention of letting either of them leave during the Major League Soccer off-season.

The pair have both previously played in the Premier League before. They have also made loans during the MLS off-season, with Landon Donovan and Robbie Keane making moves to Everton and Aston Villa respectively.

Despite all the interest in his players Arena is adamant that both players will be going nowhere.

"Our players aren't going anywhere," Arena told LA Galaxy's All-Access podcast on LAGalaxy.com."

Arena strongly feels that his players need the off-season to recuperate after such a grueling season.

"Even though we argue that the (off-season) lay-off is going to be too long, he (Gonzalez) can go in camp with the US national team in January, along with Landon Donovan."

"Our players have had a really tough run this year, in particular Robbie (Keane) and Omar with all their requirements with national teams.

"They've had a full 11 months of play and they need some time off and then they need to get back here in LA and be ready for a challenging campaign that includes in the beginning not only the league but the (CONCACAF) Champions League."

Donovan has had no less than two spells on loan with Everton in 2010 and 2012. The two moves proved productive for the American as he scored two goals and provided nine assists in 17 appearances for the club.

Keane, has only spent a single season on loan while in the MLS. The move was made to Aston Villa. The Irishman spent two months on loan with Villa and scored three goals in six appearances for the club.
