Manchester United have joined Chelsea and Tottenham in the race to sign Aston Villa forward Christian Benteke, according to the Daily Mail.
The report suggests Manchester United manager David Moyes is keeping a close eye on the Belgium international as he is keen on bolstering his forward options.
The Scotsman is looking to be add some firepower to his ranks, as the likes of Javier Hernandez and Danny Welbeck have struggled for goals this season.
Hernandez has scored just four goals in 11 games for Manchester United so far this season and has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford in the near future.
Welbeck - like Hernandez - has struggled for goals this season, scoring just three goals in 10 games for the Premier League champions so far this season.
Manchester United's first choice strike duo Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney have been in sensational form this season, however the former has struggled with injuries and the latter is yet to commit his long-term future to the club.
Benteke, who is valued at £25million, is highly sought-after due to his fantastic goalscoring record of 23 goals in 45 Premier League games.
