Premier League stars such as Juan Mata and Wilfried Zaha have been linked with moves away from their respective clubs because they have struggled to get the game-time they desire - and probably deserve - during the first 13 games of the season.

Footballers are particularly keen on getting as much football under their belt as possible this season, as they will be looking to book a spot in their country's squad for next summer's World Cup.

Mata, for example, has been excluded from Vicente del Bosque's recent squads due to the lack of minutes he is currently receiving at Chelsea.

The 25-year-old may have no choice but to ask for a move away from west London if he cannot worm his way into Jose Mourinho's plans.

Here we name a starting XI made up of players who have been given the cold shoulder this season.

All of the following players have started less than six of the first 13 Premier League games of the season.

Click through the following pages to see which players have made the XI. Feel free to comment in the box below if you agree or disagree with our selection.
